The Kearney Companies Partners with Glass Half Full

The Kearney Companies is proud to operate the full logistics and warehousing needs of Glass Half Full, a New Orleans–based glass recycling organization.

Glass Half Full is a glass processing and recycling company started in 2020 by two Tulane University students who noticed a lack of recycling resources in the New Orleans community. Now, Glass Half Full operates numerous glass recycling drop-off locations, as well as provides collection services for residents and businesses.

The process does not stop there. Once the waste is collected from the local community, Glass Half Full processes the glass to create crushed sand for local coastal restoration projects and cullet for the manufacturing of new bottles. The sand product is used in coastal restoration projects right here in Louisiana.

The Kearney Companies team provides end-to-end transportation solutions for the Glass Half Full cullet crew. We transport materials from their recycling facility to our France Road Terminal, where we receive and handle the culletcrushed and sorted glass, loading it into railcars. We also manage the rail freight that delivers their product to market to be recycled into new glass bottles.

We are proud to provide our services and support to a company dedicated to improving our communities and coastlines!
