Port NOLA welcomed Captain Mickey and the crew of the Disney Magic to New Orleans in February. A plaque exchange took place on board to celebrate the Magic’s maiden voyage from New Orleans. We are thrilled Disney Cruise Line continues to bring its distinctive cruise experience to Port NOLA, with 12 sailings on the Disney Magic from February-April 2023.

Port NOLA Officials Discuss Future of Maritime Commerce at Washington Mardi Gras
Port NOLA Board Chairman Jack Jensen, Board Secretary-Treasurer Walter Leger, Jr., Port NOLA President & CEO Brandy Christian, Chief Governmental Affairs Officer Matt Gresham and Deputy Director of Governmental Affairs Jessica Ragusa were joined by Matt Leech, CEO of Ports America in Washington D.C. in January to discuss the Louisiana International Terminal in meetings with The Maritime Administration (MARAD) and the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. Gov. John Bel Edwards recently announced a historic public-private partnership between the State of Louisiana, Port NOLA, and two global maritime leaders to build the new $1.8 billion state-of-the-art container facility on the Lower Mississippi River. Ports America, one of North America’s largest marine terminal operators, and Terminal Investment Limited (TiL), (the terminal development and investment arm of Mediterranean Shipping Company) have committed $800 million toward the project.
Port NOLA Welcomes Local Students, Former Carnival CEO and NFL Star Aboard the Valor
Port NOLA Board Chairman Jack Jensen had the pleasure of welcoming local students on board the Carnival Valor in March to meet two New Orleans native sons, former Carnival Corporation President and CEO Arnold Donald and NFL superstar wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase.
