Hurricane Francine made landfall near Morgan City, LA (85 miles west of New Orleans). The storm’s eye followed a path that brought Hurricane Francine directly over the New Orleans Metro Area. We experienced significant rain along with hurricane force winds. There are widespread power outages in the area which will take several days to recover. Francine has now been downgraded to a tropical storm and is moving quickly in a northeastward path.Â
