KCO Warehouse, Drayage and Transload Operations:
Tuesday, September 10, 2024 – final preparations are underway to secure the warehouses and equipment including rail assets in the area. We expect flood gate closure later today and suspension of NOPB Rail Service is imminent.
Wednesday, September 11, 2024 – All warehouse and transload operations will be CLOSED.
Thursday, September 12, 2024 – We plan to RE-OPEN operations Thursday at 07:30 AM, however, this is subject to initial damage assessments and power availability.Â

Port NOLA + Container Operations:
Wednesday, September 11, 2024 - New Orleans Terminal and Ports America will be CLOSED.
Thursday, September 12, 2024 - New Orleans Terminal and Ports America will RE-OPEN, not earlier than 12 PM, after for damage assessments. We will keep you posted on the timing of the container port re-opening.

Port NOLA Breakbulk Operations:
Wednesday, September 11, 2024 - QSL will be CLOSED and Ports America will be CLOSED.
Thursday, September 12, 2024 - QSL will be CLOSED and Ports America will RE-OPEN, not earlier than noon for damage assessments.

New Orleans Public Belt Rail (NOPB) Operations:
Wednesday, September 11, 2024 operations will be CLOSED, with anticipation of floodgate closures.
Thursday, September 12, 2024 operations will be RE-OPEN by 2:00 pm.
Class 1 RR interchange traffic in the region is expected to stop this evening while monitoring of levees and flood gates will continue through the duration of the storm. Due to the flooding concerns, most carriers have issued a temporary embargo affecting all traffic originating or destined to move through the area. Embargoes are temporary holds placed on freight to restrict the acceptance and handling of freight.
